Song writing at its heart is all about forging something worthwhile from raw ideas. In my lessons you will learn not only how to develop & harness those ideas but how to structure them into a cohesive song or piece of music.
My lessons are not overly heavy when it comes to theory and are geared towards fun and creativity. We will get you up to speed on the DAW (music software), which is what you'll use to create the music, as quickly as possible leaving you free to turn your ideas into music you can actually listen back to in real time! Come, unlock your potential!
Ages 7+ to Adults welcome
- - How The Lessons Are Structured - -
One on one (with group lessons coming soon!)
You'll learn about musical notes, chords, song structures, solid song writing practices.
You'll be learning how to use music software with which to create music.
If you can play an instrument we can eventually incorporate that into your music though no instrumental ability required.
What I provide during the lessons -
A laptop with music software
What you'll need to bring -
Wired headphones/earphones
Computer literacy (You'll be using a laptop)
About me
Hi I'm Chris! I teach drums in Surrey. I have been drumming for 25+ years alongside song writing, singing and production. I've written, drummed & sung on multiple albums & EP's and built up a strong discography of written music within multiple genres ranging from rock/metal to electro/acoustic/pop.
I am enhanced DBS checked.

Group Lessons
Group lessons will be available at some point for kid only classes and maybe also adult only classes if theirs enough interest. If you're interested in group lessons please get in contact and I'll keep you updated!
Where?
I mostly teach from home (Woking Town centre) mid- week and occasionally there are spare slots on the weekend in Horsell. I'm also occasionally at the Water Rat Studios in Woking. I can also, dependent on availability, offer home tuition to people within a certain radius for a higher fee.
I don't currently offer online lessons.
